Global Strategy Group

NEXT MEETING -> 1-2 March 2012, Washington D.C.

What decision-makers around the world most need today is to develop “advance warning systems”. That is, knowledge systems to allow them to get a sense of new developments, new issues, and new factors when these are still “one inch beyond the horizon line”, about to emerge in full force and to change the environment in which decision-makers operate – creating new risks and opportunities.

The Global Strategy Group brings together a group of top global thinkers to meet twice a year to identify and assess the emerging trends that are re-shaping the global economic, business, social and political environment, and to discuss their potential implications for corporations, governments and societies at large.

The Global Strategy Group is composed of about seventeen global thinkers, each with the proven ability to complement his/her recognized talent for conceptual, forward-oriented, lateral thinking with a strong sense of the economic, social and political environment at the global level.

Global Strategy Group Middle East

NEXT MEETING -> 6-7 January 2012, Kuwait

Created in partnership between Smadja & Smadja and Jusoor Arabiya, the Global Strategy Group Middle East provides a unique strategic perspective for regional firms and international companies alike. Its centerpiece is twice-yearly meetings that bring together sponsors with the region’s top experts and thought leaders along with global thinkers to engage into strategic prospective thinking on the economic, social and political issues shaping the future of the region. The aim is to develop innovative and practical analyses of new trends, developments and factors.

The mix of experts and personalities assembled in a private setting gives the discussions of the Group a depth and an openness – a thinking forward tonality – not found in conferences or other meetings. The Group acts as a “strategists’ club” for participants, providing them with the opportunity to engage with one another, to share perspectives, and explore new ones, to test assumptions. Business leaders who attend are also strongly positioned to identify “actionable items” that would improve the region’s economic and business environment.
